Rolly left Wham with me to head home to Peoria, IL for a night before we traveled back south down 55 to New Orleans, LA. Rolly enjoyed this road trip with myself and 8 other fellow teachers. Throughout this week Rolly went with us to the French Quarter Festival in downtown New Orleans where we got to try all sorts of different foods and see lots of artwork. Rolly also joined us to paint a house on Monday, work at the Children's Museum on Tuesday and went to the ACEI teaching conference Wednesday and Thursday! On Thursday after the conference we went to Joseph A. Craig Elementary school where we met up with a SIU Alumni and donated over 60 pairs of black shoes to the school. This school is in a low income part of New Orleans and some of the students do not have the money to buy shoes for their school uniforms. Rolly is inside the shoe in the picture but is not very well seen.
